We are currently offering various groups in addition to individual and family therapy services. Many of these groups are covered under insurance policies. For more information about Group Therapy, please contact our office and our reception staff will get you in contact with the specific provider.
I Belong Group: This is a social skills training group for adolescent boys, ages 14 to 17. Teens who are very shy/passive and lack social skills will benefit from this group experience. Some of these boys will have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome or are Autistic. The group is ongoing and thus referrals will be accepted at any time.
Making Friends...Keeping Friends: This is a social skills training group for boys ages nine to twelve. This group, as above, is an ongoing group and thus boys may be referred at any time. Boys referred to this group are very shy and passive. They struggle with social skills and may also have been diagnosed wilt having an Asperger's or Autism diagnosis.
Families in Transition (FIT):This group offers Co-Parenting Skills for Parents Living Apart. Parents attend four educational sessions separately covering such topics as how ongoing conflict affects children, identifying and managing anger, and the limited partnership business of co-parenting. The two sets of parents then meet together with the group facilitator to review and revise their parenting plan.
